TN School Education Minister: Education Could be Comprehensive if Learnt Through Movies

Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi the minister for school education in Tamil Nadu reviewed the currently launched initiative to screen movies in authorities colleges, on the organization higher secondary school at E. B. Road, Tiruchi on Thursday.

‘Children of Heaven,’ an Iranian movie with English subtitles, was screened for school students of class VI to class IX on Thursday. The tale revolves around a brother and sister, and their adventures over a lost pair of shoes.

Speaking at the event, Mr Poyyamozhi said, “the movies screened as a part of the initiative can have a core message on social topics and existence values. We trust that movies will encourage kids to be more observant, expressive, and empathetic. We need them to be uncovered to more than simply teachers. This is our try at making schooling extra holistic.”

As part of the year-lengthy school movie festival initiative, one film may be screened every month. This will be carried out at some point of one of the artwork periods assigned every week for school students. Students, after looking the movie, can write a review, draw a picture based on it, and write an essay or a poem approximately it.
